HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-16, 25-18, 15-11)
The Hatters dropped two sets early to a young but extremely controlled and defensive-oriented West squad. The Bucks, according to HH coach Jon Young, were able to take advantage of a lot of great looks with HH starting slowly. The Hatters fought back to win the match in five as they started to get in rhythm.

Running the offense was senior setter Grace Howard with 41 assists, four digs, and two aces. The Hatters had another solid night at the net, hitting .307 as a team and led by junior middle hitter Jade Lauzier’s nine kills on 18 attacks, senior Nastya Tsetsko’s 13 kills on 25, and junior outside Kayla Jones with 16 kills on 32 attempts. The Hatters had a great night on the serving line with 23 aces in five sets lead by Kayla Jones (7), Jade Lauzier (6) and Nastya Tsetsko (5). Senior Maci Lumpkin anchored the defense with 17 digs on the night.

For the Bucks, Alexis Barklage (11 kills, three blocks, one ace), Rachel Hu (eight kills, one ace, 10 digs) and Mackenzie Lund (five kills, three aces, two blocks) led the way at the net. Setter Erin Ferello had 29 assists, 11 digs, four aces and one kill, and Caroline Taylor’s 14 digs led the defense. She also had three aces.

The Hatters (2-0, 1-0 SOL) take on Wissahickon on Friday. Central Bucks West is 1-2 overall (1-1 SOL).
